On October 27, 2009, Express Energy Services Operating, LP and several of its affiliates (the "Debtors") filed voluntary petitions for relief under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code (the "Chapter 11 Cases") in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas, Houston Division (the "Bankruptcy Court"). Debtors’ Chapter 11 cases have been assigned to the Hon. Jeff Bohm and are being jointly administered under case no. 09-38044. On November 23, 2009, Debtors filed their respective Schedules of Assets and Liabilities and Statements of Financial Affairs. These can be viewed by clicking on the Schedules and SOFAs tab on the left hand side of this page.
In addition, the Section 341 Meeting of Creditors was held on November 30, 2009. On December 7, 2009, the court confirmed Debtors’ Joint Plan of Reorganization (the "Plan") and also entered orders relating to the rejection of certain leases and agreements. The Plan's Effective Date occurred on December 31, 2009.
